Our Lessons
Our lessons are collaborative, nurturing and student focused.
We offer both 1:1 and small group lessons at our studio. Within the lesson, students will learn about key vocal techniques such as breath management, placement and vocal registration. We also focus on building confidence and stage presence, and encourage students to interpret songs to develop their sense of musicality and artistry. We will work through a variety of repertoire and styles such as Pop, Musical Theatre and RnB, depending on the students' goals and musical preferences. I am also able to assist with preparation for auditions, performance exams and other performance oppertunities.
Feedback and targeted vocal exercises will be provided to the student each lesson to assist with their practice at home.
Online classes are also available via Zoom for those who can’t make it into the studio.
**Please note that I only teach students aged 8 and above**
For younger children I encourage more general musical development and confidence building before embarking on formal singing lessons (which can be more demanding than most younger children like!)
Programs like Beginners OnStage, Mini Maestros, Hey Dee Ho or learning an instrument are a great way to get younger children started in music.
About Indi
Indi is a professional singer with over 20 years of vocal training and 10 years of coaching and professional performance experience. She performs weekly around Melbourne at weddings and corporate events in an acoustic duo and band. You can learn more about Indi's music here.
Indi has featured as a lead vocalist in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, performed on Channel 7's "The Morning Show" and featured on The Voice Season 3. She has released original music and spent a year in the UK performing with various cover bands.
Indi is highly versatile in teaching popular styles such as Pop, RnB and Musical Theatre. She is passionate about building well-rounded performers and artists, providing a personalised approach to all of her students in a fun, nurturing environment. She loves sharing her knowledge and providing oppertunities to get her students gig-ready, to help those who want to make a living from performing just as she has been able to do.
